The Student Room Group

Is this exaggerating? (Personal Statement)

So I was reading someone's PS (not that I intended to copy, I've already sent mine off), and came across a bit saying they earn £XXX a year from developing games. So I asked them about it, and it turned out that they earned £2(XXX) in a total of two years - so it is still correct to say that they earn £XXX a year, when that amount isn't fixed every year? They've also stopped earning as much now, due to focusing on their A Levels. It's like charging £45 for a tuition as private tutor, then saying you earn £45 per hour - surely it's not completely correct to say that?

This is only exaggerating, most of us outright lied in our personal statements.
I think the person saying how much money they make is silly, irrelevant and a waste of characters

I think I would be a harsh admissions officer :holmes: .
no it is acceptable to average out their two year income. they are not lying about how much money they earned.
