I can't decide whether sueing for not being able to take your entrance exam for Law is ironic or not...

That sounds so horrible. I also took my LNAT in Singapore and was shocked at how rundown the building was. I know it's under renovation but I swear I thought I was in the wrong place! Luckily nothing happened for me. I hope everything turns out alright for you, it is so unfortunate. :s-smilie:

Yeah I took mine in Singapore as well. The building did nothing to calm my nerves, and I don't live there so I was freaking out about having showed up in the wrong place as well. The staff were actually very helpful for me, I'm surprised you had a bad experience with them. I'm sure the uni's will understand, it's not fair for them to penalise you for something like this beyond your control.

Lol you just have to make sure you do everything one hundred percent correctly, since you're up against some quite high powered academics in the LNAT Consortium.

I did mention to Graham Virgo that I wouldn't like to get into a legal dispute with him (over room rental contracts) but I don't think he got the joke. If I were unjustly enriching myself on the room, I'd be in quite a lot of trouble!

actually the fault lies not in lnat, but in pearson professional. lnat consortium sets the test, but pearson administers it. being the administrator pearson has 100% responsibility to ensure that each and every paying candidate can sit through the test smoothly. im freaking angry now but theres nothing i can do. i hav phoned lnat, phone this phone that, emailed but nthing. today my test centre called and inform me that the lnat is aware of this and has claimed that the deeadline will be extended indefinitely and we will not be penalised for taking it beyond deadline. but im skeptical because the staff who broke this news to me was kinda shifty and her language, obfuscatory. very dubious very confusing. theres no black and white, no official letter, nothing, no confirmation, no affirmation, no guarantee. i dont even know whetehr the lnat universities are aware of this glitch. hell i feel like im wondering around aimlessly. i phoned lnat customer service, but he directed me to the email. i emailed, but no one responded.

this is the first time i feel such frustratio nand helplessness. i have came across many instances in the news whereby consumer's rights are infringed and this, frankly speaking, is the first time when i really experience the agony of it myself. up against a vast organisation with so many layers of hiearachy and echelon, its massively troublesome and beaurecratic and there are so many contact sources but none has been able to give me a clear, concise, satisfactory answer to this problem. i badly need an advice now. any idea how i can contact some lnat big boss? i need to talk to someone in authority, someon who can make decisions, no intermediaries who only knows how to repeat the parrot sentence " the team is still working on it..we are trying our best..sorry for the inconvenience..theres nothing we can do now..". this is the ONLY test centre in singapore and this screw up has caused major inconvenience to a significant number of lnat candidates, me included. now we are all confused as to whether our ucas will be affected, and whether it will disadvantage us in the admissions cycle.

help pls

Did you get in touch with John Gardner? I'm sure he would have something to say about this mess.
If theres several of you whom have been treated the same way they should fix this, otherwise its horrendous.

Best Luck with your application.

I did my test way back in mid-October.

Not that this helps much, but I'm so sorry that all this had to happen to you. If it is affecting you AND other candidates, then something has to be done!!!

Academics know **** all about the actual practice of law! They aren't prepared to get down and dirty!

Come on dude, you'll give the 'ham a bad name :frown:

Also, imagine Devenney in a court room. He'd win them round with love, and maybe a dance or two, and everyone would agree with him.

This is literally one of the most awful things I have ever heard. I would be so mad. I would sue them, as people have said above, like in all seriousness. I hope you get 2 do it & get a good score
