Do guys who often watch porn not get turned on by normal girls? Watch

I'm really nervous about moving forward with a guy I've been getting close to as he's mentioned a few times that he watches porn. He's been single for a few years and I'm worried he may have got to the point where he wouldn't get turned on with a normal girl like me as he is used to watching porn stars.

Is this a common issue or is it only in extreme cases where this happens?

Porn is more a fantasy for men, they know and understand that it is not realistic. Firstly, if you want to move forward with him, i'd suggest that you talk to him about it and tell him how his porn watching habits may make you feel. As part of moving forward with someone is about sharing your feelings and thoughts with each other with maturity. By the way that you say 'moving forward' I am a little confused about, do you mean dating?
OF COURSE he'd get turned on by 'normal girls', men admire a huge amount of body types, they don't just stick to getting turned on by one. You see men getting with girlfriends that may look like porn stars, but a year later they've now gotten with an 'average' girl, as she turns him on just as much as the other girlfriend, maybe even more. I think maybe you shouldn't focus on the more sexual/lustful side of moving on with the relationship, as with a lot of men, they get turned on especially if they have an emotional connection with the partner (especially if they are 'mature'). To sum it up, if guys see you naked, they'll get turned on without even helping themselves and you don't have to be a skinny 36DD blonde for that to happen. I think if he said that you didn't turn him on later on, then this is probably a very extreme case. Personally, my boyfriend stopped watching porn before we even started talking, so its not that every single man watches porn every few days, so he can live without it

I heard it was the opposite. they get turned on by any woman because 1. porn has a vague selection of women so even the immensely grotesque women can be considered hot and 2. what he sees in porn he is likely to want to experiment on real women. i've heard about men who have raped and killed old ladies because they were obsessed with porn!

Porn distorts the brain. Porn causes all sorts of issues in relationships and sexual problems including ED.
Pornography, as a visual (mis)representation of sexuality, distorts an individual’s concept of sexual relations by objectifying them, which, in turn, alters both sexual attitudes and behavior. It is a major threat to marriage, to family, to children, and to individual happiness.

This is a true statement. It's just the media who makes the money on this disgusting, abnormal crap who are normalizing it through media.
