How to get marketing work experience?

I was hoping to get some work experience in marketing - I believe I would like a career in it but I'd firstly like to shadow and do basic tasks in a marketing office setting as have been working as a horse groom for many years so a bit of a change in environment!
However I look them up and they're usually an individual's self employed marketing business. Is there a way to search I don't know about such as a work experience website ?

My transports links are quite bad as almost on a separate isle from the rest of Kent - I'm thinking that the issue may be I'm not searching far enough but not sure google is up to it!

I've tried indeed too - is there such thing as an internship that is interested in taking people with no previous experience and where to find them? I have good GCSEs and A level equivalents.

There are three main ways to get experience in marketing; agency-side, client-side and media.
I'd always say agencies are the best for working on a breadth of clients, different budgets, different markets, different products.
To get the best out of that a medium-sized to large agency would be best. LinkedIn would be a great place to start, as they have employee numbers on there.

Are you on LinkedIn? I often get emails with $50 free ppc credit, that would be an amazing way to get interest - if you need any help setting the campaign up and writing the copy I'd defo help with that. you could target it to HR Directors, owners, senior management in Marketing businesses and agencies saying "motivated self-starter student seeks unpaid internship" - what a way to shpw you are a) switched on to marketing and digital and b) get stuff done?!

alternatively most big companies will have internal marketing functions. I'd probs go straight to their Head of Marketing or Marketing Director. I'm Head of M here, and I'd probs take a punt on someone if they made contact direct. If they dont want to take you on as an intern / work experience then you could ask to be mentored, I bet they would know someone who can help.
