M&S one day induction?

i got a job at marks and spencer as a christmas temp. Monday i have a one day induction, can anyone give advice on what to expect? should i bring a pack lunch? what to wear?

Considering it lasts the whole day, I'd recommend bringing a lunch with you. However try and avoid foods that need to be in the fridge or heated up as you don't know what facilities are available (although I'd assume the staff room has a basic kitchen).

From what I've seen of M&S workers, it seems to be black trousers or black skirt, black shoes and they seem to wear an M&S uniform top, although some people I've seen in just a smart white shirt or blouse. I'm assuming you haven't been given a uniform, so I'd go for a smart white shirt.

You'll probably be doing a lot of admin - health and safety, contracts, learning the rules. You'll possibly be on the shop floor, shown what jobs there are to do, maybe till training.
