I don't have a clue about OCR, but for Edexcel, we cover the following in the first year: Algebraic expressions, Quadratics, Equations and Inequalities, Graphs and transformations, Straight line graphs, Circles, Algebraic methods, Binomial expansion, Trigonometric ratios, Trigonometric identities, Vectors, Differentiation, Integration and Exponentials and logarithms.
We have to sit 2 papers in the first year, one pure maths which covers the above and one combines Mechanics and Statistics paper (not sure of the topics we cover in this one.)
