(Bio required practical) Potato concentration

Hey everyone I was given a title and asked to devise a practical and write out a method, but im not too sure how to start off or what im suppose to do, is there a slight chance anyone could give me a hand?
LO - To investigate the effect of concentration on the mass of a cylinder of potato and to determine the water potential of the potato.

Could someone help me out with the method?
You need to make up different solutions which are of different concentrations. Cut equal cylinders of potato (note diameter) and place one in each different solution in a beaker. Measure diameters after a set time - one that stays the same shows the concentration of that solution has the same water potential as the potato as osmosis hasn't occured (no net movement of water which would alter potato mass). Potatos which shrunk was because outside water potential was more negative and potatos which enlarged was because inside water potential was more negative.
