Any advice on how to write literature essays?

I’m a second year lit student and I’ve had the same feedback three times so far 🙄. My essays are ‘intelligent’ this but the sentences are sometimes fragmented and unclear or they run on or the over explain. So I’m missing out on firsts by insy points.

Does anyone have some tips to help with this?
