What an awesome exam! I know I mucked up at the end, got root3-3sino instead of root3-2sino like they asked for but I just couldn't get it :C Multiplied the brackets by 4 twice :/

How did everyone else find it?

This was definitely a hard exam ! It was unlike any of the practice solomon papers or the OCR past papers. I think ive got all of the big 5 and 4 mark questions correct but some of the parts were tricky. Dont think it was awesome tbh.

it was a horrible exam! i lost about 17 marks, because my mind went blank on the stationary point one and i couldnt get 2x to the ekx and figure out k...grrr...and agreed, it was nothing like the solomon papers. does anyone think grade boundaries will be lowered or around the normal level?

maybe a bit lower considering how everyone i've talked to found it, but I doubt it'll be by much

I thought it was a terrible exam. Agree it was a lot harder than many of the past papers. Awful. I feel terrible, I need an A in this

i reckon the grade boundaries will be lowered. Looking over some of the examiner's reports people tend not to do as well on the core 3 papers. I think it was around 55-57 out of 72 you needed in previous years to get an A on the paper ! I need a B in maths to meet my offer but i really want an A after all the hard work i've put in !

Horrible, horrible paper. I really struggled on the last 3 questions and they were worth half the papers marks. I revised to the point of where i could get through all the past papers fairly easily but had a nightmare today.

I found it ok but I know I've lost at least 10 marks.. My mind went blank on the stationary point question! Can't belieeeeeve I forgot that if there's one solution then b^2 - 4ac = 0 gah!
I got confused on the E^kx one too. I managed to get k = ln2 and put that into the formula but I think I got 60 something.. which apparently is wrong! And had no idea about the last part of the question
Oh well. I'm hoping I did well on the other questions want an A reeeeal bad

Hardest C3 paper I've seen; they'll probably lower the grade boundaries because it seems like the style has changed. I managed to answer all the questions in the end, but I got stuck many times. There were tonnes of 'think outside the box' style questions.
