Hi, I’m 16 and finishing year 11 pretty soon, me and my mates are wanting to go abroad after our GCSEs and we have our parents consent but we don’t know where to go that will allow us to travel alone to and get a hotel by ourselves and we were wanting somewhere with a lenient drinking age so we can have some fun but obviously we would be responsible.

It seems harsh, but in reality...wouldn't it be better off waiting until after A-Levels?

I would've never been able to afford a holiday abroad in yr11 nevermind get parental consent....

Your best bet is to simply do a hell of a load of research, making sure your checking the security and safety of areas as well.

Many European countries allow 16+ for buying beer and alcohol under a certain percentage, but then you need to be 18 to get served at a bar or to buy spirits.
