I am in the process of developing my EPQ ideas and I want to do something based around genetics and the development of genetics, as well as touching on history and progress through time. Does anyone have any suggestions about genetic related EPQ ideas? The history aspect is not fundamental as I am more intrigued about genetics themselves. I want to study biochemistry at university hence my interest.
Thank You!

Two things to get you started - “The Selfish Gene” by Dawkings
Also the book “Biomimicry” - read the photosynthesis chapter - discusses how genetic engineering of bacteria enabled them to work out the way it photosynthesised and how to replicate it!!

Hi! Thanks for the advice, I have read "The Selfish Gene" which is my fuel for the fire as you may say, amazing book! I will look into biomimicry and let you know, the photosynthesis sounds like a good idea!
