I am writing my Personal statement and am currently struggling to link my Level 3 OCR health and social care course to education studies, does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to do this.

This article relates to how childhood development (upbringing in psychology and general care and/or social care) can affect education in the later years.

You might want to use some points from the article in your personal statement, or might find some points in the statement that relate to something you've learnt and a possible interest in studying the effects of development on educational performance.

Education studies isn't only about learning how to teach/becoming a tutor. It is a sociology and psychology related subject where a lot of your degree, particularly in your second year will be focused on educational development.

How does early childhood care and education affect cognitive development? An international review of the effects of early interventions for children from different social backgrounds
