Hey Guys,
I'm mid way through my second year of A levels and decided to start a GyG so join me as i try to find if I'm an egg or a potato. My educational history;
GCSE- 9A*, 1A (damn you French)
AS levels;
A in history (aqa)
B in Biology (Edexcel salters)
B in English Literature (WJEC) (DROPPED)
C in Chemistry (OCR Salters) (Our school has since moved exam board so I'm now doing OCR A)

On results day last year I was soooo disappointed with both my Biology and chemistry grades and decided to drop English Literature for a few reasons.
1) I didn't enjoy the subject or work at it throughout the year, as in I found it a real struggle to motivate myself to even read the books
2) I want to do Biomedical sciences at University.

UCAS Status; on the 20th November I sent off my Ucas to study Biomed at;
University of York-AAB
University of Birmingham- AAB or Unconditional if I firm them
University of Lincoln- 120 UCAS points or Unconditional if I firm them
University of Bristol (still waiting...)
Cardiff University (still waiting...)

I'd really like to get AAA this year though and since results day I found out that I was 2 marks off an A in biology. Chemistry is where I need to put the work in, however my school changed exam board from OCR salters to OCR A. Since then we redid last years AS paper for OCR A and I got an A in paper 1 and a C in paper 2 so a B overall.
I also have achieved 2 A's and 2 C's in some end of topic tests we've done so a mixed bag there...
Sorry this is so long but I'm procrastinating History coursework...

Hey there! best of luck with your blog and your A levels! You picked the exact same subjects I did a few years ago :five: but I dropped chemistry! I went on to study biology so it's cool that you've applied for biomed. Where are you hoping to firm?

I'm stuck between York, Birmingham and Bristol (if they give me an offer)

Eventhough I got AAA in maths, physics and chemistry back in 2015. AAA now is really not all that.. its pretty average. You should at least get one or two A*s minimum
