Open University Course Pass Rate

I completed my OU degree 8 years ago and when it was over generally felt a bit empty as it had become such a part of my life. Most of the experience was good and I still have good memories about the struggle and challenge that it provided me.

My wife is now about to embark on further studies having completed 75 points a 7 years ago. She has two options to go for but is worried about starting after such a long break. I remember from my OU time that they used to publish pass/drop out rates for courses and suggested to her she initially go for the "easier" course as she has to do them both. Does anyone know if the OU still publish this info please?

Check the summer (May/June) editions of Sesame, most of which are available from the OU website - www.open.ac.uk/sesame in pdf format.

They can be difficult to interpret but once you've grasped the terminology you can get the exact percentages/numbers of those who dropped out/passed/gained distinctions etc.

Hope this helps.

Just has a few subjects foe 2007. It is a lottery to try and find the May edition for last year. I did find 2002 and 2004 but the search engine on the OU site is poor. My wife has now started her course so it is too late!
