BBB/ABC offers question

I've been given an offer of BBB for Classical studies and I think there's a chance I could get ABC...the Classics brochure states the entry requirements as:

A-levels: BBB or a combination of 2 A-levels and 2 AS-levels at
equivalent grades; 300 UCAS points (which is ABC or BBB)

However the entry requirements I have been given by the University on track/on paper is 'BBB excluding general studies'

So yes, I'd be interested to guage opinion as to whether I would still be accepted with these grades, as I'd prefer to have a decent idea where I stand before results date should I get a C, rather than a B. I'm not sure it's something I'd want to ask the Classics department :/

Thanks!

Not that I know a lot about Royal Holloway, but I'm pretty sure that if it specifically says BBB then you need at least BBB and they won't take you with ABC. I know it's a bummer as I've got the same.

as far as I know, RHUL don't tend to go on UCAS points (yes, I know in some books they say e.g ABB equivalent to... but they do grades, not points)

Depends on what you get the A and C in, if you get the C in Classical Civilsation/Latin/Greek/History then you're unlikely to get in, if you get the A in whatever of those subjects you're taking then you might still be in with a chance.

Wouldn't worry about it too much, I got BBD and they still let me in without any fuss for Classical Studies.

I know a few other depts that let people in who had missed their grades by quite a bit as well. English, Drama and Psychology are all pretty rigid though, I know people who missed their grades by 1 grade this year and so had to go to their insurance.

Nice one, thank bob, my A would be in Class Civ anyway, just worried about missing my history grade! But to me ABC and BBB seem the same anyway.
