What is meant by “Processing”

I understand that processing times are subject to change. But what exactly is meant by “processing” does it mean your processing our application or “processing evidence” is this period subject to you requesting evidence ?

Hi Danielle,

Processing can refer to your application or evidence, depending on the status of your application and the last step you took. You may be requested to send evidence depending on the outcome of the processing of your application or the last piece of evidence that you sent.

For example, the timescale for your application may be 15 working days, once your application has been assessed in that 15 working days, you may be requested to send evidence. The evidence then goes into processing once it has been received. Likewise, the evidence may take a further 10 working days to process, and more evidence may be requested, depending on what you have sent.
