The temperature of water entering a heater is 12 degrees C. The rate of flow of water through the heater is 3.6 x 10^2 cm^3min^-1 and the output temperature of the water is 20 degrees C. What is the power of the heater?(Density of water = 1000 kg m-3, specific heat capacity of water 4200 J kg-1K-1)

So change in temp is 8.
I tried working out the volume by converting 360 cm^3 into 360*10^-6 m. This is per minute so to find the volume per second I divided by 3600 and then to get the mass I multiplied it by the density to get 1*10^-4g. I then put this into the equation using c as 4200 to get 3.36???

The answer is 0.20kW and I have no idea where this comes from

You should divide by 60 instead of 3600.

You got the correct method just be careful when converting the time into seconds, you are going from minute to seconds
