Which is the best?
Too broad a question. Rock mostly turned to **** after the 70s, but prog stayed good. Neoclassical has neither improved not become worse, it's just changed. Pop has gone from bad to dreadful. Film and game soundtracks have become grander and more pretentious.

Sad to see the 60s not mentioned cause I'm a huge Beatles fan but out the three definitely the 70s love the glam rock scene of Mott the Hoople, Slade and Queen. Also loved the solo work of The beatles in those early days.
