lady mountford house

hey! im new to this forum btw...was just wondering if anyone is going to be lady mountford house this september? coz my friend has just been told that her room in this hall has caved in, so she now has to crash on my bedroom floor at lady mountford until they can find her other accommodation! ive also heard (someone mentioned it on this forum a while ago!) that aspesdos (sp) was found in the lady mountford house recently! does anyone know if this is true? i think i might phone up the accommodation office tommorow just incase my room has caved in as well! :confused:

im beginning to realise why this is the cheapest hall in carnatic!

I'm in Lady mountford as well, unfortunately. Again i've heard all the stuff about it, but was kinda hoping they wouldn't put ya there unless things were sorted, although by what you've been saying they've not really been sorted yet.

yeh im hoping it was just that one bedroom that caved in, not the whole building!lol i suppose they would have told us by now if our rooms were affected!...its gonna be a bit of a squish for the first week or so though with my friend, plus all her luggage, plus all my luggage and me in one room! :eek:

It was me that mentioned the Aspesdos..It's only rumor though so I wouldn't worry. I feel really sorry for you if rooms are caving in, that can't be good. Hope they get it sorted for you all!!

I'm in Salisbury (Carnatic) I wanted to be in Greenbank, but sods law I end up with one I didn't even apply for lol.

me 2! i really wanted to go to greenbank, but they told me that because i live locally (the wirral) i wouldnt get priority over the halls so ended up in lady mountford! im not really too bothered anymore though-apparantly although greenbank looks nicer, carnatic has the best atmosphere/social life which is the most important thing! :biggrin:

its only for a year at the end of the day!what course ru doing?

yup same here, although I live about 2 mins from the halls lol so I guess I can't be too fussy :biggrin:
