Going out with parents

Is it a bit sad if you are in your 20's, lets say 26/27 and you still hang around with and go for days out with your parents? Its just my parents have this motorhome and go for days out to old national trust places, antiques places sometimes camping and I really enjoy going with them more than being with friends. When should I stop going though? Im 22 now why don't I like being with friends as much?

nothing wrong with that. my family often still have days out or go out for lunch and my brothers are 29/27 i think

EDIT: i still go shopping with my mum, because I don't have any girlfriends and none of my boyfriends want to go with me. i prefer shopping with my mum to girls anyway - she's more honest for a start
nowt wrong with that at all.

Nothing wrong with spending time with your family.

lol how come no one ever seems certain of their siblings age, anyway im an only child (or adult now) and its ok going to places with my mum but when my dad comes I feel a bit immature being with mummy and daddy. If I had a brother or something it would look more like a family outing.

If you enjoy spending time with them then go for it

na i think its good to spend time with your family; they probs love having you around

Nope, nothing wrong with that. My Mum and Dad go out with their parents sometimes and they're both 45! :p:

I go shopping with my mum too... shes got staaaayle. lawl. -cough-

Really though I don't think, there's anything wrong with hanging out with your parents. Its pretty normal. We go out for meals too.... quality family time uno. -nods- plus with family and all its cool because you're more comfortable with them and you can crack jokes which lets say you cant crack with other people with as much enthusiasm... haha I make myself laugh.

I spend loads of time with my mum and dad, we're a really close family, I don't think it's unusual at all.
I think you probably like spending time with them because well, they're your parents. More often than not, they know you better than anyone else. Also they're older, maybe more mature than people of your age which means better conversation etc?

You should be glad that you're obviously part of a close family. I've got friends who would love to go for days out with their parents but just don't have the opportunity to do so. I still go out with my parents all the time when I'm not at university. We usually do something together at least once a week, be it a family walk in the country, a shopping trip or a meal out. I like it

Yea Im closer than them to my friends, I can be myself and more relaxed around them but with friends I have to put a tiny bit of an act on and can't say everything I want to. Thing is they go to good places like looking round old mansions from Tudor times, well I think its good.

Sure, why not.

Nothing wrong with historical attractions. English Heritage ftw! Especially when they do re-enactments and there's a delicious jouster taking part... phwoar, memories

I really get on with my parents, and would be kinda worried if at 21 I would have to start considering myself abnormal for that... so yay for this thread.

Nah a lot of it depends on what kind of person you are, what sort of family. At uni I hang around with people 2 or 3 years older generally and am perfectly comfortable in my parents' company.

And plus it's just nice to hang around with people who have to like you by default :P

Only start to worry when you live with your parents at 30 and your only friends are on the internet

But I'll always have the voices in my head...:bird:

:eek: NO WAY. It is fine to go out with your parents. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. It would only be a bit weird if you only went out with your parents and no one your age. It would be even weirder if you went out with your parents more than with your friends and prefered that. ;yes;

I'm 21 and still go on family holidays with my parents, I do most things with my mum as she's my best friend. I don't seem to have as a good a time with my friends like I do with my mum!

I spend every weekend with my parents (we watch a movie every week), i know i'm just 18 but i probably still do when i graduate from uni. Also, i get really good food when i go with my parents...less good with friends because we usually can't afford good food. As to when you should stop? Never! You can even still go out with them when you have your own children .
