Do not mumble, I do the same- it makes you seem as if you dont know what your talking about. I try to talk more louder, to stop mumbling.

Listen to the question. Pause. Engage brain. Look at them. Speak.

i did read it:confused:
maybe because i right clicked save to desktop, thanks it was helpful, btw a friend said that they were unlikely to ask you about the uni, is that true because there is a section on your list

Reply 10

well the sgul interviewers did ask me what i would contribute to st georges etc

Reply 11

also in the "why people fail" section it says not a proper experiec (D of E not enough) so my question is what is. Is it talking about things like work experience or wat?

Reply 12

AFAIK with SGUL interviews, they haven't read your PS. That's what happened at my interview as well as other members on TSR.

Reply 13

yeah they mean work experience in a medical/caring environment

Reply 14

aminalia89, did your school provide that info? Very helpful!

They haven't read your PS, they know nothing about you. Just have a rough idea in your head of answers to the basic questions (why med etc) and recent news topics. Good luck, even if you feel nervous now you'll relax into the interview once you're in there (it is 25 mins long after all!)

(Could I please urge people who've had interviews at SGUL not to give away the questions they were asked - they ask qs from a set list, so you're actively giving other people an unfair advantage by telling them! General interview advice is fine though )

btw my interview is at 4:00 so am i expected to wait for 3hrs(tour ends at 1:00), i assume il be allowed to take a bag with sum reading material and my ipod. would the ipod be bad??

Reply 16

No not at all, that's fine! Although it might be a bit antisocial - why not talk to the other interviewees instead?

Reply 17

yes- you do have to wait but its ok because theres lots of people you can wait with and talk to. you can take a bag and anything you want but i wouldnt advise listening to your ipod while you are there because your with a group of people. ermmm i guess my advice would be to be confident but not arrogant- find that balance. i wasnt very confident in the interview, im guessing thats what did it as they dont read your personal statement so they go by your interview score.
good luck!

okay thanks, if there is a group i wont listen to my ipod lol, i just thought that if i was on my own i would get a bit bored. thats gd then hopefully the chat with the otehr applicants will calm me down and make me less nervous b4 the interview
