Hello

I'm a college student and currently looking for a job I have been applying for the past year. I have interviews but they never offer me a job. I had a job in the summer holidays but that was only temporary. Honestly don't know what other different thing I can do.

Ask for feedback where possible

Is there anything you could do differently in interviews?

Does it come across as genuine interest for the job?

Do you demonstrate your skills/experience enough?

Do you come across as a person that is easy to get along with?

It's difficult to give specific advice without seeing a video of your interview which is why feedback helps

What kind of jobs have you been applying for? What past experience do you have?

I worked at a factory before only 18 years old had a summer job there. But other than that I have had interviews as a receptionist, in ASDA, subway, and many other places they just didn't offer me a job.

Jobs are quite competitive these days so if you lack relevant experience, you will find it harder to get the job. I would look into volunteering - if you are looking for a retail job, volunteering a few hours a week at a charity shop can look good on your CV. You will get trained in till operation, organising and presenting stock, pricing and general customer service skills, all of which are beneficial to a retail role.
