i think we all have irregular pulses. sometimes when exercise it gets up to 80, other times, like when i just woke up, it gets upto 80:s-smilie:
im sure its nothing serious.

Do you get it when you first start to measure it? I tend to find it seems irregular for the first couple and then becomes normal, probably an effect of the brain adjusting to a rhythm, or whatever.

In medical terms its unlikely to be "ireggular" this would mean that the patern of the pulse would keep changing.

Everyones pulse goes up and down in speed. Anything over 100 at rest would be worth checking out but i think you are perfectly normal.

Now and then I get this weird thing in my heart, like it speeds up and gets fast (rapid) and then returns back to normal, sometimes leaving me feeling really odd. I mentioned it to another friend a few years ago and she said the same thing so i'm guessing its nothing serious....

If you're concerned, get it checked out - anxiety about something will make anything with your heart seem worse! Mention it to a doctor - I had a blood test and ECG organised when I mentioned I was worried about some palpitations (which I still get, but I'm apparently perfectly healthy?)

Sounds like heart palpitations. Its quite common and is usually caused by stress/over excitement or possibly a reaction to something in your diet. I know someone who gets it whenever he drinks wine for example. Almost certainly nothing to worry about but wouldn't hurt to get it checked out by the doctor if it happens alot
