I also have my computer science open day/interview on the 6th and am looking for some tips.

I'm pretty prepared as i've already done one with imperial and according to the structure it seems fairly similar. But does anyone know whether or not they may ask some logic/maths type questions like imperial? That's the only real issue i'm worried about..also i hear the dress code is fairly light (smart-casual the most) this true? I don't want to come in looking like a muppet all suited up.

what did you guys think ?

Yup they sure were.
There was a point in the interview where we weren't even talking about my application at all. We were debating whether Ilford should be classed as being in Essex or not xD

Lol, yeh my interview went great, just a chat really..i got a bit more of a statistical type question apart from a logic but managed it fine. And no..ilford shouldn't be classed as Essex

Last year me and my friend both got asked questions specific to computer science. Mine was about their virtual reality room and networking. It was something like, if we decided to join our vr computers with another universities somewhere in the country, what problems would occur. I just spoke about latency, network traffic etc and a follow up question was how could you try and avoid these problems.
My friend was asked how he would write a program to find all the prime numbers up to a 100 and then how he would refine it.
I don't think they were particularly difficult and the interviewer gave me hints to make it easier. I think its just to guage your current knowledge and how good you are at problem solving. I wouldn't worry too much about this part of the interview.
In the end both me and my friend got offers and I thought I answered the question badly
