hmm i found it alright, what did u get for the mass of a and b at the end? i got 0.7 and 0.525
The only question that did my head in wass number 6. I couldn't remember whether you had to find a new coefficient of friction, or use 1/3. In the end I used 1/3 but I think I got it wrong. Overall it wasn't bad though.

Took 30 minutes to get to the final question, but then I got stuck for 30 minutes trying to prove that B carried on for an extra 0.064m lol. All in all though, an easy exam?

Same here, lol.

nah i dont think the coefficient changes, cuz its to do with the roughness of the table n the block

anyway what did u get for the acceleration of question 6?
Yeh i got those masses. Was an OK exam, though question 5 was the hardest (car and trailer system) as i'm crap at those. Can anyone remember any of their other answers. The number 0.713N is something sticking in my head as something i got wrong...anyone else?

Total time for B's movement? I got 0.913 or something...
0.0933 or something. I swear it's wrong. And I didn't answer the final part of the Q properly.

i got 60N as the driving force when the accn is -0.6
and then i think something like near to 0.10 for the acc down the slope

B's movement looks familiar. 0.713N isn't familiar, but it does look a bit like the acceleration I got. I think. My memory isn't great today.

Yeh now I think of it, it was an acceleration, awesome!
Is this MEI OCR or another board because if it is i am worried?

same lol. thought 60N was wrong, seemed too small!

Normal OCR.

Nah it makes sense. The slope was 3 degrees, and the resistances were still in place.

I can't remember any of my answers lol, except 0.7 0.525 at the end. Total time for B was 0.914 I think. u=-1.12 v=0, s=0.064 a=9.81, t=0.114

The hardest question was part 2 of 5, with the trailer etc. going down a slope, think I got it though.
Can anybody share their answers for Q6 please?
That exam got merced.

1.
F=707(can't remember exactly, but something starts with'7')

2
speed is 0.2, in the opposite direction

3.
Can't remember

4( the one about resultant force??)
magnitude: 19.2, angle: bearing of 38.7 degree

the magnitude of E is also 19.2,

5.( Car and trailer??)
Can't remember

6(Block)
1/3
Friction: 4.083(something like that)
Acceleration: 0.107m/s2

Friction:

since the horizontal pulling force is less than the fmax, the friction is therefore: 4.9*cos60=2.45N

7.
i) distance A travelled: 0.448m,speed of it before it hits the floor:

v=u+at, a=1.4, t=0.8, so v=0+1.4*0.8=1.12

ii)the length of time: v=u+at, u=1.12,a=-9.8, v=0, t=0.114s

iii) draw the graph( a triangle shape)

iv) mass of A: 0.7
mass of B: 0.525

anyone who can remeber the rest of paper, pls could you post your answer here

bearing is 038, not 38! The other part of the question, was the same magnitude, and a bearing of 218.

7ii)

did they ask you to do the total length of time, or only when B starts to decelerates???

what was the tension holding the pulley up (the very very last question)? 4.9N?
