Brother tried to stab me

Im 18. My chavvy brother's 15.

I hate him soooo much and vice versa.

Yesterday there was an argument that he agreed I would get the PC in 10 mins. It was 15 mins and then he's asking me for paper to print. I say I do not have any and things escalate. He gets angry first and hits me. This makes me angry and I hit him. Mum breaks us off, then I see him going to the kitchen trying to get some waepon and after that starts making rude remarks so I go up to him and punch his face. He then chases after me up the stairs and I feel a quick deep scratch.

I thought he scratched me with scissors or a pen, but when I look at the mirror and hear him that he used a "knife" I get shocked. he has threatened me with a knife before but this is the first time he's used it.

Basically he tried to stab me but its a deep long scratch.

I hate him. Should I report it the police - what can they do? (I would love to see him locked up)

You DID punch him >_>

Not saying it justifies it at all because it doesn't, but I doubt he would have drawn a weapon unless you hit him.

Tell your mum. Knives are dangerous and little boys shouldn't play with knives.!

You are officially dumb.

Well you've got the idiot replies out of the way lads, well done.

I'd love to be able to tell you that getting the 5-0 on the case would be worthwhile. But I bet they'll just scrub it off as a domestic dispute. This is some serious crap though, a 15 year old using a knife on people. I bet the situation is beyond your parents so try the police anyway.
you hit him.. first.. and he is the minor..

No. "This makes me angry and I hit him"...
hi...
no 1) firstly what a nasty little brother you have.....=)

no 2)secondly,do you know why he hates you so much and why uo hate him? Your family so it would be cool to just ignore him or make it clear that you dont want trouble

no 3)thirdly, I think you should really tell your parents first to sort it out...and if that does note work.......the only hope is to report it to the police....but hey, your both family so i think both of you should try to make up or something =)

But you did punch him frist soooo.....

He did hit him first, but seriously, a knife?!

Seriously, that not even funny. Its worrying.

Getting a knife is a bit crazy, won't your parents have a word or something? Perhaps they need to be put in a locked draw or something.

No. "This makes me angry and I hit him"...

nope! 'i saw him reaching for some kind of weapon so i punched....'
Yeah, you're 18, you're an adult and he's a minor. Your mum broke up the argument, and you still went back for more. You can't prove he intended to stab you, he might just have wanted to scratch you.

Grow up, for God's sake. Is this how you're going to deal with people in later life when they disagree with you? Punch them in the face?

"I see him going to the kitchen trying to get some waepon and after that starts making rude remarks so I go up to him and punch his face."

Going up to him and punching him isnt analogous to self defence.
However, he's still an arsehole for touching a girl. I'd have nocked him spark out for doing that if I had been there.

BLOKES DONT HIT GIRLS. End of discussion.

to get him back fart on his pillow before he goes to bed, he'll wake up with puffy eyes

always funny, then report him :/ i think you were in the right seeing as though he is a chav, although if you are 18 its calssed as assult :frown: tricky one
I'm pretty sure it says the brother hit the OP first, actually folks...

He gets angry first and hits me. This makes me angry and I hit him.

Plus I think trying to stab someone is on a whole different level to hitting a sibling..

OP, think of the effect that reporting it to the police would have on your family. Can't your parents try to control him? If it happens again, don't resort to violence - don't hit him and don't sink to his level to argue back. Then you remain the innocent victim, and if you do decide to go to the police, it would do you favours to have not retaliated.

Have your parents not disciplined him???? He needs to be taught not to threaten people with knives or one day someone WILL call the police on him, and he will have ruined his life because he can't control his temper.

Fair enough you maybe shouldn't have punched him but he CANNOT get away with retaliating like that.

Good luck with it :s-smilie:
