Cheating??

ok.. i just want to see what general opinions on this matter are- this is me just wondering...

is kissing someone else really classifiable as cheating?
or is sex with someone else the main meaning on of term "cheating on someone", or is that not either? what would you say cheating is?

bear in mind at age 17- its all about fun- and the fact that the kiss has been honestly spoken about and put out in the open.

I personally would count it as cheating, but it depends on how much of an open relationship you have. I'm in an exclusive relationship so it would be cheating. But if you kissed someone else, would they be happy? That really is what defines the relationship

Well if it's a pretty full on kiss then in my eyes, yes it is cheating.

Just being 17 doesn't excuse anything really. If it didn't mean anything then maybe it's not such a biggy i.e. you were dared to do it or something but otherwise I would say it is, yes.

And as for sex; well I'm pretty sure the majority would agree that it's a 100% yes. It is cheating.

Basically, my bottom line is that if there was any meaning in kissing someone else then it's cheating.

And so what if you're 17. If my boyfriend did that to me when I was 14, I'd still class it as cheating.

Kissing is cheating.
Sex is cheating.

But kissing is more forgiveable depending on circumstances. But either way it doesnt bode well.

I'd absolutely consider a kiss cheating, but then like you said you're 17 so I doubt you're with the love of your life right now. All the same it hurts like a b***h when someone does something like that behind your back, so think if you'd consider it cheating if it happened against you.

If you want to 'kiss around' then don't be ina relationship - that's how I see it anyhow.

depends on the type of kiss....
If its an air kiss-not cheating
If its a kiss on the cheek-not cheating
If its a kiss on the lips-could be classed as cheating (depends on your relationship)
If its a full on with tongues-definately cheating
Sex is definately cheating

Nearly all of my ex's have cheated on me and im not 18 yet?! It's not fair

Yep i consider kissing to be cheating. If you want to pass yourself out like smarties then you shouldnt be in a relationship in my opinion.

Sex and kissing is cheating.
Hugging isnt, holding hands isnt either.

I cant be bothered explaining why, but id certainly be uncomfortable if my bf kissed someone else, even if he held hands. But then again if the girl did it it would be different because quite often girls hold hands with their mates, whether theyre male or female.

Sounds a little bit like you're fishing for some sort of 'proof' that kissing someone else, whilst in a relationship, isn't wrong. :s-smilie:

Personally, i wouldn't class kissing as cheating. A kiss is just a kiss, in my eyes... At least that's what i keep telling myself :\ I know a lot of people that would consider it cheating, however, it all depends on how you see it... Or maybe we need to take a step back from the situation and consider how we could view it if our partners had been the one's kissing another. Would we view it as cheating then? Hmm.
