Animation Software and Harware

Does anyone know any good hardware, specifically drawing tablets, good for animation? And any free software (if any) for beginners?
if you want to grasp the basics of animation you could use source filmmaker (free). It comes with premade models, voicing, maps, effects etc. You could also download models and such via the steam workshop for source filmmaker. If you want to go in depth, Blender is good too, but here you can either make your own models/maps etc or can import em (Blender is also free). Both of these use steam btw. If you want to become really serious, I see lots of people using Autodesk Maya or Cinema 4D). These are all for 3D animation though. For 2D i really like Flipaclip which is free on Android devices (don't know about ios or windows). I don't know anything about drawing tablets though sorry! Hope this helps.

Source filmmaker: http://store.steampowered.com/app/1840/Source_Filmmaker/
Blender: http://store.steampowered.com/app/365670/Blender/

There's a bunch of really good tutorials for both of these apps too on youtube!

Hi there!

This thread should be in the Tech forum. I'll just tag @AngryJellyfish to get this moved over there :h:
