Okay, can't figure out how to edit the poll so if you're like moshing_fairy...write it down lol!!

I'd love to know why anyone voted "I haven't and I won't" did so. Interesting answer, really.

I never have but I have ticked the circumstances under which I would.

Yeah, I wasn't sure who would put "haven't and won't" - if anyone out there has/will put that, interested to know your reasons??

Reply 6

I haven't, and I don't plan on sleeping with many men in my lifetime, so I hope I never need one - any partner of mine who's not a V will have one before I put out haha.

Reply 7

Haven't but would. Hopefully I'll never need to since I'll stay with the only girl I've ever done stuff with.

If everything I've done since the last one has been seemingly risk free (eg. I've been using condoms and they haven't broken, or I've been with the same monogamous partner and we were both clean at the last check) then maybe once a year, just in case?

If I've put myself as risk (eg. broken condom, other misc. risks) then ASAP.

(Please keep anon, I knew quite a few people who use the site and would rather avoid the embarrassment!)

I haven't yet, which is probably very stupid as I had unprotected sex with both my previous girlfriends, both of which I didn't really know much about their sexual histories...yeah, I need to get down that GUM clinic.

Ditto.

I haven't (had a full screening), but should. And will.

You can catch stuff even with a condom, especially since few people use them perfectly. I go every year or two just for a check up, same as I go to the dentist or optician. It doesn't take long and it's better than finding out you're infertile one day when it's too late.
I put "I haven't and won't" because I know I don't have anything as they check you when you're pregnant (I still class that as an 'I haven't' though as it was not something I made a conscious effort to do - it was just done to me.
And I should hopefully never have to do one, as (God willing) I'll never change partners and he won't cheat on me

I can't believe how many people have never been tested. It's really irresponsible towards yourself and other people. You shouldn't treat it any differently to any other health check. You don't wait for your teeth to fall out to go to the dentist, or wait to go blind to see an optician. You should check periodically to be on the safe said.

I havent, and unless it ever became necessary to have one I wouldnt. (ie) I wouldnt just think out of the blue one day 'Right im off down the GUM' with no reason atall to suspect that I had anything.

Im in a Long term relationship- over 4 years, me and my boyfriend have both never been with anyone else, and we arnt the kind of people to slag about and cheat on one another so its not necessary. Unless that ever changed I wouldnt have one.

I'm all for Darwinism on this one - if you don't get checked, the chlamydia will fester away and make you infertile and you won't get to pass on your stupidity genes.

S'fine with me.

I like that theory- pity it wont work for other things...

I've only had sex once (and I used a condom) so I don't need to.

I am in a long term realtionship and have only had one girlfriend, she is on the pill and we always use a condom
