When to apply

Hi all,

I'm completely new to all this and a bit behind the times being a mature
student so any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Just completed my ucas application.

When can I apply for Student Finance for my degree that starts Sept.18?

I've been to
https://www.gov.uk/apply-online-for-student-finance but it states 2017/18.

You'll get an email from UCAS when finance applications open. The deadline to complete the finance application is May 2018, but there's no set date when applications open. It's usually around March.
