Has anyone successfully moved to Oxford after a year of studying elsewhere?

It states on their website that Oxford do accept applications from students who are currently at another university, but has anyone on here managed to do so or know anyone who has?

Yeh but they don’t accept transfers. Basically you’d have to get very high A Levels, start at a uni, then apply, wait until January, then if you get in you have an unprepared gap year of like 8 months.

If you have the right results for Oxford you will get offers from your other uni’s. So you may as well have a gap year earn money get an offer then spend the rest of the year enjoying it.

Not to mention the tests and interviews you’d have to prepare for on top of uni work.

I’d only do it if you’re very smart and you’re going to a uni that’s well under you ability range.
