Hey! I’m currently doing AQA GCSE biology but the sixth form I want to go to does EDEXCEL A level Biology.....i know there is a different as edexcel studies the brain at GCSE and AQA doesn’t.
Should I maybe pick a sixth form that also does AQA or do you think it would be fine jumping in at A level for brain studies? Pls help!
Also is there a big difference between AQA chemistry and Edexcel chemistry? Thanks

In the new 9-1 GCSE AQA biology the brain and central nervous system is part of the course that i did last year in my school..maybe youve just not done it yet? If you have a revision guide read through that to find it. Also, topics for a level biology will all be taught fully for dual science students who havnt studied a few topics that triple science people have. Hope this helps

I’ve just checked now and it’s in AQA unit 20: The Nervous System. Maybe your teacher got confused with the old specification

No they are called ‘units’ in the specification but I would call them topics. Name: 9AFC2381-DB75-4CEE-A001-182F1C13AF32.jpg.jpeg

Go for either, when you get to university you won’t have prior knowledge of 80% of what you cover, so you may as well get used to it now .
You can learn all about the brain, neuroscience is very interesting.
