I’m currently in y11 and I have no idea how to revise for maths or further maths. So far I feel like I’m just winging it and learning equations - does anyone have any tips for maths/further maths revision

Lol when I did GCSE’s, and even now in A-levels I have the same problem. One good thing to do is just....practise. mathsgenie is a good website, and so it physicsandmathstutor, cuz both of them separate questions into different topics, although mathsgenie groups those questions into different grade boundaries etc
Hope I helped let me know if you have any more questions x

Before we get started, I will provide sources mainly for regular Maths due to the new problem solving and weird syllabus - the FM is still the old hence for that I'd just go through the book, do the CGP workbook and bang out past papers.

Here are links:

I recommend doing this order:
- mathsgenie worksheets
- mathsmadeeasy worksheets
- justmaths worksheets
- once you finished ALL the worksheets in ALL three sites move onto the papers
- AQA papers
- Edexcel papers
- OCR papers
- specimen papers
- CrashMaths papers
- Churchill papers
- practice set papers and mocks from school

Worksheets (for all topics with answers):

https://www.mathsgenie.co.uk/gcse.html

https://mathsmadeeasy.co.uk/gcse-maths-revision/

https://justmaths.co.uk/2015/12/21/9...c-higher-tier/

Your CGP workbook + CGP grade 9 workbook (buy them if you don't have them by now)

PAST PAPERS:
AQA papers: https://mathsmadeeasy.co.uk/gcse-mat...a-past-papers/
Edexcel papers: https://mathsmadeeasy.co.uk/gcse-mat...l-past-papers/
OCR papers: https://mathsmadeeasy.co.uk/gcse-mat...r-past-papers/

The CrashMaths, Churchill and specimen papers can be found online. Mock papers + practice sets can be requested from your teacher.

Hi,

You could watch videos, doing lots and lots of questions, really understand the underlying concepts and make sure all past papers are done. If you lose ONE mark in that paper, correct it and same for all the questions you do. Maths isn’t something that you can just read and “get”, it’s something that takes practice and perfection. Just remember to check the online specification and ensure that all points have a safe and confident tick. That, I think, is the best way to organise your work. Start from the beginning of the spec (easiest first) and work your way down. If you can successfully answer 10-15 questions (variety in difficulty) in one topic, then that’s probably a tick.

Hope you do well. Just remember that it’s not something you can just read, it’s something you have to be able apply in a diverse range of scenarios which can only be done if you practice, in most cases. You can also try ExamSolutions, physicsandmathstutor, Maths Genie etc. There’s a lot of help online if you browse for it.
