In my CGP textbook for A-Level Chemistry, there are different equations for acids and bases. Why does it say salt and then a metal salt - aren't they the same thing?

This is what the equations are:

metal + acid -> metal salt + hydrogen

metal oxide + acid -> salt + water

metal hydroxide + acid -> salt + water

metal carbonate + acid -> metal salt + carbon dioxide + water
