Hey, erm i'm relatively new to this part of TSR so apologies if i seem retarded towards technology. I am just wondering if there is any type of equipment that links a laptop directly to a television so that you can play video files on the tv via a laptop?

Again apologies if this is poorly worded.

All you need is an S-Video cable. Just make sure you have an S-video out port on the back of your laptop and the same on your TV. If the TV doesn't have one, you can get converters to switch it scart.

If your TV doesn't have a S-Video input you could use the following cable, which transfers both video and sound from your laptop to the TV.
