Are international students allowed to work part-time/ work after graduation?
In the states employers don't like hiring overseas students cause of the visa troubles, is it the same here?

You can work for up to 20 hours during term time, or unlimited hours out of term time.
You can work for two years after graduating under the Post-Study Work tier of the Points Based System (coming into effect early this year, right now it's the International Graduates Scheme).
