politics/international relations at warwick

Is anyone studying politics/international relations at Warwick? Could someone tell me about the course i.e. is it challenging, interesting etc?

What sort of job could it lead to?

Can anybody tell me about living on the campus - I visited it recently and I really liked the feel of the place.

i have applied to Warwick through UCAS but have had no response yet!

Thanks

Hi,

I'm a first year PPE student (and ergo take the "Introduction to Politics" module that everyone who does a politics degree takes) and took "World Politics" (the first year IR module) as my outside option. If you do PaIS or EPaIS, these two will be core modules for you.
Generally, the PaIS (Politics and International Studies) Dept here at Warwick is excellent. In your first year, you will have an average of 1.5 lectures per week in each of the modules above, plus 1h of seminars each. The lecturer for "IP" is Prof Ben Rosamond, very competent, but his lecturing style does not suit everyone (slightly deadpan). Prof Shaun Breslin does "WP", and I think pretty much everyone agrees that he is excellent. Knows a huge lot, especially on his area of expertise, East Asia, and has a very informal and funny lecturing style. Each week you will have two seminars, mostly with PhD students or researchers.

Can't say anything one second and third year module, but so far I find the politics here great!

Hope that helped...
