What speciality are you?

Found this on MSG, was a bit sceptical at first but turned out to be interesting. I'm very interested in the top 4 (as much as you can be pre-clinical  ) and interested in the top 10...here's the link!

I come out something different everytime i do that...So many questions and they repeat them too!

I'll do it when i've finished procrastinating about doing some work.
there's one you can do on the BMA website which freaked me out by how accurate it was.... it basically mirrored my interests :afraid:
Whats the website, please?

I get different things outta this, depending on what I've already decided is my 'job of the moment'
quite surprising ...

1 psychiatry 45
2 nuclear med 45
3 ophthalmology 45
4 med oncology 43
5 hematology 43
6 dermatology 43
7 neurology 43
8 neurosurgery 43
9 physical med & rehabilitation 43
10 pediatrics 43
130 questions? Screw that! Is there an option for "You like answering online surveys" to which I can put a definitive 1 down?

Remember, the results act as merely a guide for your consideration and is not a replacement for formal career guidance.

Loads are...I think they are designed to as your not supposed to think about the answers and how they relate to your current "interest", more gut feeling. By repeating the questions, it can find out if there's a pattern to how you answer it or whether you are thinking about it

I can't be arrsed to do that quiz again, it's a complete waste of time.

Hmm, I wonder if I should mention any of these results in my clinical school interview tomorrow *-)

1 obstetrics/gynecology 45
2 general surgery 44
3 thoracic surgery 43
4 pulmonology 43
5 hematology 42
6 med oncology 42
7 radiology 42
8 psychiatry 41
9 preventive med 40
10 aerospace med 40

The top 3, incidentally, are the ones I'd say I was considering most in the last few weeks. This is of course, with no actual patient contact... RE the O&G, I was semi-considering something in fertility etc, and the surgery...well I'm sort of also contemplating a forces job.
1 ophthalmology 49 (Yes!)
2 neurology 49 (maybe?)
3 pathology 48 (maybe?)
4 med oncology 48 (dunno)
5 gastroenterology 48 (maybe?)
6 endocrinology 48 (maybe?)
7 general internal med 48 (maybe?)
8 psychiatry 47 (Yes)
9 plastic surgery 47 (Yes)
10 urology 46 (Yes)

and a wee bit further down...

13 colon & rectal surgery 46 (mm, don't think so!)
14 anesthesiology 46 (yes!)

Ophthalmology, psychiatry, plastic surgery, urology and anaesthetics are areas of interest to me. I have to say though, that orthopaedic surgery looks good but is not on the sacred list...

Right - I decided to do it again, without thinking (am trying to watch Antiques Roadshow, don't you know!!! )...

I am going to have to leave med school...

3 neurology 45
4 neurosurgery 45
5 occupational med 45
6 nephrology 45
7 cardiology 44
8 allergy & immunology 44
9 orthopaedic surgery 43
10 aerospace med 43

I might try it again tomorrow and see how the cookie crumbles - well I hope, God damn it!!!!
Fluffy me and you are so alike. Kill yourself.

I reckon I'd like to do psychiatry/neurology/endocrinology most, so at least those are up there. There's a few anomalies though, opthalmology/hematology?!
