I use flashcards which I colour code for theme, character and conflict. I have a quote on one side and analysis on the other. I find it helps me visualise the quotes and the select the most important ones through mixing and matching the cards.
I start by reading them aloud - this is much better for memory than silent reading. Then if I have five for conflict, I will try to remember them all of the top of my head. Any incorrect ones or ones that I forget I repeat again.
Hope this helps
