Can i reapply to a uni who rejected me this year , through clearing ?

I applied to durham uni for engineering course and unluckily was rejected . Is there any chance i can reapply through clearing ?
If they have any spaces in clearing.

You can try but they rejected you the first time, why not this time?

In theory, yes. In practice you have two problems... Firstly Durham doesn't put many places in clearing, especially in popular courses such as engineering. Secondly, they've already looked at your application and for some reason or reasons have rejected you - unless you outperform your predictions (which might make adjustment a possibility depending on your firm) then what reason would they have to change their decision?

When I went to Durham open day they stressed a specific point about how they have never gone into clearing so I highly doubt anything will change this year! Maybe best to focus on another offer or somewhere else you liked?
