Can my boyfriend come to the fresher's ball?!?

During the first couple of weeks i'm going to try my hardest to see as little of my boyfriend (who lives in london) as possible in order to meet new ppl! I'm planning on going to the badge party, school disco, phase, and the boat party (well this is the stuff i will most likely buy my tickets in advance for) on my own (or at least, with whoever i meet when i get there!!) but really want to do something with my boyfriend there too..

Anywayyy.. can i take him along to the fresher's ball? Or would it maybe be better to take him on the boat party? Or is it not allowed for anything?!

I have no idea. I wouldnt mind knowing too as my girlfriend wanted to come down for the freshers ball. Usually at these sort of things I think your allowed one guest. But dont quote me on that.

Yeah! A person in my situation kind of!! Have you ordered any of your tickets yet? I'm about to get them for the badge party, school disco, (the first) phase, and the boat party.. but not sure about whether to get 2 for the ball (or 2 for the boat party...!)

However, i did notice that fuse on the 9th october says 'open to students only' when none of the other events do so i assume that it'll be okay. What are you going to do about a ball ticket for your gf? (get it when you're there? or buy one now and sell it if she can't go for some reason..?)

To be honest, the only advice I can give is just wait until you get there until you buy any tickets. Firstly, it is only when you get there (unless you phone) that you can find out for sure which events are KCL student only, which are open to limited numbers of guests, and which ones are just public.

Secondly, I'm not buying any tickets in advance because I dont want to have bought tickets for events which none of my newly adopted friends (OK, that may be wishfully speaking) are going to. I wont want to go to such events if I feel like I'm going on my own, so that'd be £4/5 down the drain.
