I dont believe you need any. just read some relevant books or do an EPQ.

my school is making me do work experience anyway so i thought i might as well do something relevant...plus i still have no idea what to do for my EPQ

I've heard of people doing archaeological digs or going travelling. Maybe you could apply to do work experience in your local classics department or if there's a theatre company putting on a play, then ask them? There are not many directly relevant opportunities.
