Hi, I would like to do GCSE AQA Statistics at the end of this year, this wouldn’t affect my GCSE Edexcel Mathematics i’ll do in Year 11? Would it just be counted as an extra gcse?
Thanks

It would be counted as an extra gcse. Would you be doing it at school or would it be self taught?

It would be an extra GCSE and has no affect on your maths GCSE. If you do it this year you will be doing the A*-G qualification and not the new 9-1 specification. This existing specification includes a 25% controlled assessment making it unsuitable for private candidates so you would need to do it with approval and under supervision of your maths teacher or find an exam centre willing to supervise the controlled assessment. The new 9-1 specification has no controlled assessment but exams are unavailable until 2019.

Hi. I have the same issue and need more information regarding any schools ( in Buckinghamshire ) which offer private candidates to do controlled assessments under their supervision.
Thanks
