It seems like a lot of places for accomodation are gone, I have yet to actually firm Nottingham (I only just got all my replies yesturday!) -- Basically, since it is this late, and most people have had weeks and weeks to apply, am I screwed? (since I've got to reply, and then apply etc. which all takes time)
Same firm and insurance as me! Nice one (same course as well if i had to guess...)

Yep, oh yeah I should really state that in the sig!

I posted this in a standalone thread, but I'll post in here too... I'm kinda torn between St Peter's, Raleigh and Broadgate. I'm really liking the look of St Peter's but what's putting me off is the distance from Campus and the problems that might cause my social life.. should that be a genuine concern or can it be overcome??

Okay, well I replied to firm Nottingham a few days ago -- will Nottingham send something to me regarding accomodation?

I downloaded the 2007/8 accomodation perspectus and not sure if I'm supposed to look for the 2008/9 one - I am a little concerned that even if I am guarenteed accomodation I won't get what I want as I am this late in the accomodation timeline.

Wait, I just logged into my portal thingy, and the "Next steps" tab has appeared with details about accomodation -- well I am going be studying medicine, so it only seems sensible to go to University Park, but what I want to know is what is the breadth of differences between the halls of residence, or should I be more concerned about what type of room I want?

yea :ditto:
it seems that most of the halls are pretty much the same tbh,
I have a kind of a dilemma too and wanted to ask for your opinion.

I will be studying Accounting and Finance at Nottingham Uni, so this, I presume, means I'll have the majority of lectures at Jubille Campus.

However, I'd like to choose BGP, as some of my friends ae moving there and I've heard rumors it is so much better and livelier than Raleigh or St. Peter's.

However, it is so far from Jubilee, that I don't even know. I've heard of the Hopper Bus service, so maybe the distance is not a big problem. Or is it? What could You suggest?

The hopper bus service will get you there. It is walkable, but it'll take ages and you'll soon get fed up with it! BGP was definitely livelier than SPC the year I was at Nottingham, but Raleigh has quite a good social scene too.

We don't send forms out as they just don't work. We encourage all students to apply online as what tends to happen is that someone will not see their option on the paper form so decide to just add it and send the form in (guess what happens to those )

In all cases it is best to apply online as soon as you possibly can.
Thanks for the response

So basically, if I log on to Track at 6am and find I've missed my first choice and got into Nottingham, I just need to go onto the Notts webpage and apply for accom straight away? Will it be possible to do that at that time? And will it have all the accom that people who missed their Nottingham firm offer chose? If that makes sense :p:

Hi BrenLee - just a quick question...

Do you know what halls the rooms in your virtual tours are in? I'd particularly like to know which halls the single study, shared bedroom, shared En-suite bedroom and en-suite bedroom ones are in, if you have any idea.

Thanks. :p:

Not screwed as such but there are at lot less options for you, currently no room type is completely full on University Park, Raleigh Park or Sutton Bonington. There are still optins available at Jubilee, Broadgate and St Peters as well.

Be quick as you can though.

You need to respond via UCAS to accept Notts as your 1st choice and then wait 48 hours for them to update the Unu. After that you should be able to apply online.

Afraid not my knowledge of the hall interior is pretty limited, the halls look pretty much standar to me but if I was guessing I would say Lenton and Wortley for the majority of them.

Blatantly the best hall! Woo.

Although, you best get that letter to me Bren, I don't want to go around saying how great Lenton is only for you to tell me I'm not getting my first choice :p:
I've been offered a ensuite studio at Larches in BGP, but I can't seem to find a map of Broadgate to work out where Larches is. The only map I've found doesn't appear to have Larches on it. Do you have a recent map of Broadgate that I can look at?

Thanks.
