No one is guaranteed their 1st choice. The onlt guarantee we give is that if Nottingham is your 1st choice Uni and you apply by August. You are guaranteed a room. This doesn't even have to be one of your choices but it usually will be.

When you complete the form the room isn't automatically removed from our database, we have to do that manually.

If a room is showing available it means it was available at the start of that day and you getting that room is subject to how many applications we receive on that particular day.

I dont think so. The email that we got the other day said that they would be sending the offers out from the 1 june.

Ok, I was told they don't start sending out accommodation offers until the coming of the application process deadline (around August), but I might have been misinformed apparently

You have no right to apply for accomodation if Notts isn't your firm choice.

Alright, one more time: If someone, who has put Notts as insurance, doesn't get into their first, will there be any choice in where to live at Notts - or will most places have been allocated already and people will just have to go wherever there are free rooms?
I could imagine, there is a quota of rooms that could be kept free, even though this is probably not the case?

There won't be a huge choice available but in the past few years, every students who has wanted a room has received an offer.

The rooms we allocate are directly proportionate to the amount of applications we receive. If we have 10 rooms and 10 applications we will allocate all rooms. Theres no point telling X people they will have to wait for people who would prefer not to come to Nottingham to apply as well. We may as well get them in there and settled.

my friend applied a while back for accomodation on the uni campus, but he's just got an email saying that they were all full and he doesn't know what to do now? can he apply again or is he just gunna be randomally assigned any left over hall?

It is no longer possible to choose a hall for University Park. Rooms are pretty scarce so you can only choose a room type and Site (i.e. Uni Park, Jubilee Campus etc)

i applied for accommodation on 03/02 i still havent heard anything I hope I am going to get a room on campus is there anyway of checking the status of my application other than through the portal? response appreciated.
