Well the inevitable has happened ,unfortunately. Despite my best intentions to keep everyone here as informed as possible, someone has taken my wording and used it to make a complaint. I'm not especially happy about having to abandon you all but hopefully there is enough info to keep you all going till you get here.

Please accept my apologies, if anyone believes I have intentionally misled anyone here. I'm afraid I won't be posting here any longer. To contact us please email:

Postgraduate enquiries: [email protected]

Undergraduate enquiries: [email protected]

or call us on +44 (0) 115 951 3697

Best of luck everyone

BrenLee

Sorry to hear that :frown: Thanks for being here anyway, you've been a great help!

Hi!
I applied for BGP and they sent me the offer letter but however i would like to know whether it is possible for me to jus stay for one semester? Bcos in the agreement form it states tht i have to stay for "the period" of 21/09/08 to 26/07/09.
Thanks a lot!!!
You want to stay for just a semester and you didn't inform them beforehand?
Contact them on Monday, see if they can amend the contract for you, you obviously know there'll be fees to pay. If you knew you were only staying for one semester you should have told them as you were applying.

my nursing course starts in january 2009 .. is it too late to get accommodation in either raleigh park , st peter's court or broadgate park .. also is it manly post graduate and mature students who choose self catered?
wouldn't know unless you contact the places where you want to live and they'll let you know. it shouldn't be too late, but you need to contact them.

and no it's not only mature/post grads that choose self catered or internationals either

Unbelievable! After applying for accommodation way in advance i don’t receive my accommodation letter but told it will come by post but it never did. I THEN have to ask by email twice and phone once, I ONLY then get an email version TODAY. I open it and read...

if your acceptance is received by us on or before 1 July 2008. If we have not heard from you by that date the offer will be withdrawn.

i just find out my offer was accepted and made on 17/06/2008. Yet i get the email version on 09/07/2008!!

how dare they!

I got that too (well, with different dates).. I just emailed them and told them (BGP though) that I'd just received the letter, and asked to get that deadline extended.. They were fine with that  So I don't think it'll be a problem..
Obviously let them know you haven't received your offer letter by calling them, they can't withdraw it if you never received. they'll then give you a delayed deadline. no need to get your knickers in a twist

I've still received absolutely nothing regarding my accommodation application, is this right? Nottingham is my firm, and I've actually already got my place, I took my exams in January.
