What should I reply? Yeah, I was told on a student forum, and naïve as I am, I tried it...

Just say you were browsing the Nottingham website and thought that you had to go through the self-registration process.

I don't think they will particularly care if you told them you were advised to do it by TSR either! :p:

Going back to the accommodation front, Is it possible to change room types when you arrive? I'm not to fussed if i have to make do, was just wondering!!

I've heard there's a massive shortage of beds is this true also?

FFS notts just replied back to mail where I asked for my username and pw that I lost after self registration, and they gave me this:

username: ps_1111111
password: XXmonthxx

this is wrong isn't it? Even I Remember the username and password that I was given after self registration was different!

you can just do the self reg again - your default password stays displayed there forever, even when you change it, and it isn't your password any more.

If there are spare rooms then you can change, if not you're stuck.

Don't stress about it! You'll be able to register once you get to uni. Sometimes people have trouble registering and it's better if they're doing it at uni so they can call or go to the IT services and they'll help them out. Also look at it this way, not many people have registered, most of it happens during fresher's week.

they haven't updated module lists from last year's yet, so I doubt it.

No I cant login yet. Apparently it can take 24 to 48 hours for their systems to update. Probs should have just waited till I got there. My main reason for doing it was to see if I had a bursary or not.

Hi!
I already wrote an email to the accommodation office but maybe I can get some advice here too!
How are you all paying your accommodation fees? I wonder if it is possible to pay with credit card because a bank transfer from Germany to the Uk costs a ridiculously amount of money.
I know that the accommodation office of Nottingham Trent University allows you to pay by credit card but I didn't find anything for the University of Nottingham.
I'd greatly appreciate any help!

Why is it unfair that we dont guarantee a room for you when we weren't your first choice University?

because im still a new undergrad student and still chose notts over loads of other n couldn't of put it as my firm cos the grades were lower than my other uni...is that how it works then - tget treated well if your not an insurance or clearing student? i only wanted to know the ansswer to my first post which was ignored and was getting worried i'll arive at uni with nowhere to sleep!

It took 24h for me. I don't know about a bursary, but I couldn't see the scholarship i was given on My Finances.

I don't think there's any wrong on doing the self registration at this stage. Come Sept 1st, we'll probably be directed to that same link and realise we're done with it.
