I was eating my tea before and i saw the skin of the mackerel under the breadcrumbs and it made me cry and shake and sweat. It's dead weird though, because i can eat it if i've not seen it, even if i know it's there.

I was just wondering if anyone else had a really random phobia...or if there's a name for my phobia?

I have a phobia of the automatic hand dryer things in public toilets. I have no idea why. It's the noise, I think *cringe*

Scaleyfishyphobia

Someone was going to.

Plenty of people have irrational fears, and to be honest your not going to be scared daily with this. So i think it's alright . Just don't eat fish on a date :P

My doctor has told me that I will die (literally) if I touch a bannana skin; not sure if that is a phobia though.

I'm incredibly scared of whales to the point that I won't even go paddling in the sea cos I know there's a whale somewhere out there.

And I won't eat fish if I've seen the skin either... but I dont get agitated by it, just a bit put off.

No, I just wrap my entire body in cling film every morning to make sure I will get no skin contact. It is a huge pain, but its better to be safe than sorry.

I'm not too partial on fish with the skin on. I worked as a fishmonger for a bit, and it's really put me off of fish; I know exactly what they're like raw!

Phobia of vomiting.

Not the vomit itself, that's just nasty-looking.. but if there's someone who's about to throw up or already throwing up, I'll run away. FAR away. >.<

EDIT! It's called emetophobia, apparently

Doraphobia is the fear of animal skin/fur.

I think your phobia would be included in that.

A bit of flooding therapy perhaps? :P

My phobia is bleach and clear cleaning sprays, although my family reckon I'm making it up to get out of cleaning.

Is that where your intensely exposed to your phobia? If so, can you imagine it for emetophobia?! Having loads of people throwing up all around you! Flooding therapy.. literally.
