Gordon Brown visit to India

India would like to welcome the British Prime Minister to our country.

India also welcomes his suggestion that alongside; Britain,China,Russia,France and the USA. India should be given a permanent seat on the UN security council.

India is the biggest democracy in the world, and we are one of the world's fastest growing economies and make a huge contribution to the economic prosperity of the whole world.India should be able to take its "rightful place" on the council.

It will be world's interest to have India permanently in the Security Council

Finally, India would also like to see the inclusion of Brazil, Japan, Germany and an African country as the British premier suggested.

Liechtenstein will shortly be producing a position paper on possible security council reform. We certainly agree that the council should at least in theory be expanded.

[ooc]This is an interesting situation where the view of Liechtenstein in the UN would be very different from liechtenstein in the MUN; we can't expand the security council by much or everyone would be in it: and then there'd be no point having it[/ooc]
