lol....yeah i know im packing - short of having a nervous breakdown........ and yeah i know averages n all cant be known but i was wondering if theres anyone here who got in the same program that ive applie dto last year.

i got my offer for msc applied statistics today! it was just a piece of paper and the letter was posted 3 days ago. it seems that they've started posting decisions to 3rd gathered field applicants. i'm still waiting for my mphil economics decision letter. that's what i'm more interested in.

Well, my deadline was the 18th Jan and I actually received it on the day. It sounds like this can vary greatly course to course so I really can't tell you.
I don't know if you can find out by email, but somehow I doubt it. I don't know if they'd give out any information if you called them, I never tried.

I also applied for gathered field 3 on January 18 but got an offer from the department 3 weeks later. Still waiting for the college decision, though.

I used this site loads whilst applying but have never posted before. Loads of really informative posts - has really been very helpful. Thought people might be interested that I got an offer for the English MSt yesterday (posted 12th March). Good luck to anyone who's still waiting.

Different department I'm afraid. I know a couple of people who received rejection letters from the department a week back, so who knows? Perhaps not hearing is a good thing?!

Hey Sana, I've applied for MPhil Econ, too, but I haven't heard anything from the department of economics yet. Neither has my course mate who applied for that course.
Also I don't think I'll get the offer because I'm already holding an offer for another programme. Even if I get this offer, I may still stick to my applied stats offer.

wow, really? Are the ppl you mentioned in the UK? Me and my course mate are in the UK at the moment, but we've heard nothing from them. If they make decisions on March 14, we should get the letters by March 17. They usually post by UK 2nd class, so the waiting should last 2 working days.

I think it might potentially be longer - just to warn you
The applicant booklet is fairly vague about when after the 14th is, so it's perfectly possible that they won't actually post the letters until this week. So don't panic if you don't get a letter tomorrow!
